Introduction

The Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy (ACOP) describes the admission, occupancy and transfer policies by which the PHA determines eligibility for admission, selects prospective residents, assigns apartments, admits residents, and processes transfers, in a fair and nondiscriminatory manner.

The ACOP is approved by our federal and state regulatory agencies, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) respectively. This policy is applicable to all BHA federally and state-aided public housing developments only.
